There is a thin line between knowing when to give up and when to try again

Don't you hate it when you feel like your best isn't good enough? Or when you try so hard with something yet it never seems to work?

I love quotes but one famous quote that we get taught from the get go I struggle to believe in ...

If at first you don't succeed try, try, try, again
Sometimes we try, try, and try again and it never works. Life's reality is we can reach for the stars and we may find what we are looking for within our stretch but a star is unreachable. And I feel like the most pessimistic person when I say I don't think everything is possible, sometimes no matter how hard you try, it wont be good enough.

By all means i'm not saying I dont think people should try again or try harder. I mean I've tried so hard with some things over and over, and it can work out and you cany get what your looking for, but there has to be a time when you realise that maybe what you want is out of your reach or maybe its not meant to be in your reach.

Sometimes what we are working for or looking for isn't what we need, and that's when you need to think;

Is it time to give up? Is it time to move on?

One thing I am not suggesting is to give up easily, put in the fight and work again. Do try, do try harder but that line in realising whether to try again or give up is a thin one.

Just be sure you make the right choice for You.

Making choices ....

We all come to the cross road in our lives, I'm there right now, where you get choices and you know each choice will affect the outcome of your life...

We often leave the choice to the last minute because we are unsure of what we want, and we hope that something or someone will come along to help us make that choice. But before we know it our choices slowly decrease because we take to long to decide.

Why do we take so long do decide on what we want?

The answer is we are scared. We are scared to change, we are scared we will make the wrong choice, we are scared of what we don't know.

But why ?

A lot of us are holding on to what we think we know, what we are used to, we find comfort in this. But what we aren't realizing is that one day your choice will be inevitable. Change is inevitable. We must realize this, and accept it before its to late.

We are given the choices while its right for us to make the change, don't leave it till you have no choice left, because that is when there comes a mistake.

You don’t have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body.

- C.S Lewis

Many people hide behind their looks. As a human race we are trivial.

This quote to me is enlightening, people often talk about the soul as if they themselves are their body and the soul is something seperate within.

However we aren't a body. Not really, this skin we wear is a protective clothing something we hide behind, my lips dont talk my mind talks through them. My eyes can see but its up to me how to percieve what I see.

Our soul is what goes on our soul is who we are and what we make of ourselves.

Our body is what we weere given.
Its Merely a uniform.

“When it comes time to die, make sure all you have to do is die.”

- Jim Elliot

Allot of us waste our lives being angry, picking fights, falling out with people.

But when it comes to the end nothing matters.

Any moment can be your last, so before it comes make sure you have nothing left to do, because before we know it, its to late.

There can be no deep disappointment where there is not deep love.

I honestly wish I could say I was an optimist, I think I used to be, but now i'm really not sure.

I mean if you expect the worst, whats the worse that can happen?
You dont expect anything you cant be dissapointed with what you get.

We often get dissapointed when things we care for or are passionate about dont pull through. And When people we care about let us down.

Some times that pain isn't worth it.

So what could be the worst in expecting the worst?

Well thats me, thats where lifes brought me.

Do I think everyone should be like that, no probably not, but you have to say it makes a heck of a lot of sence.

But then again - I am afraid of dissapointment, the question is .. are you ?

And in the end it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years.

- Abraham Lincoln

Life..

People can live years and years beyond the rest.  You may want that you may hope you live forever, but is that what counts ?

I dont think you can judge a life by its longevity and I dont think thats what matters most. because one day of happiness can beat years of mere satisfaction.

People cant live life as if they have infinate amount of time to make the most of , you have to live each day as if it was your last, or you'll be wasting your years.

It doesnt matter how long you live, if you lived it without the fullness of your heart.

I love quotes

Firstly if you know me, you would know I love quotes especially ones that provoke a lot of thinking and self assessment. The best kind of quotes are the ones you make yourself, ones that come from your heart, and reflect your own self thought. Do some soul searching make a quote to describe your own over comings, your own trouble, your own life.

Expect quotes in my blog, ones from others ones from myself. But be assured there will be ones I believe in and ones I think everyone should believe in too.

But if you don't , well that's you. Disagree or agree with them I hope you learn and think about what You believe.

Anti Facebookism

Ok so what’s my beef with Facebook??

First and foremost I think social networks are killing human interaction. I mean all of a sudden every ones taken the lazy man's route and talking via invisible 'walls' what happens to let me sit on the wall outside your house and talk or let’s sit in the four walls of your room and catch up. . . I mean what is this really?

To me Facebook is the ultimate zone of Fakeness.
People sit there accepting friend requests from people they don’t even know or never even talk to. But WHY? Just to build an image, a profile of people whom are supposedly included in your life? Most of which you don't actually like or care for. So why do people feel the constant need to update people of no real meaning to us on our lives?
Why relay your business? What happened to private life?

And why pretend your friends with someone when you are clearly not. It's true isn't it?
And why do people feel like it’s necessary to have Facebook?

This so called reason to keep in touch via Facebook in my opinion is a load of CRAP. Why? Because hello anyone you where bothered to keep in contact with you can call text or go visit. What were people doing before Facebook was around? And what were people doing before mobile phones were around? It’s called let’s talk Face to Face. And let’s be honest without Facebook how many people on your 'friends list' would you actually be bothered to talk to? So why are people pretending?

Why?
Why do you need it?

Allot of us are wasting away in front of Facebook, clicking the refresh button to see if someone’s made an update, but why do we approve of this? It’s virtually
STALKING. Why do we approve of someone checking our page every 5 mins to see what where doing and not approve of them following us around? Isn't it the same thing?
Do you know what else I hate about Facebook... the way people pretend; they pretend to be people there not. There so focused on making the most interesting status or dramatic wall comment they lose themselves in who they want everyone to think they are. People are too busy creating this image of themselves on this Internet page, one the world is open to see, but why don't they take the time to build the image in there character? Why does everything have to be so public all of a sudden?
I mean people even argue over Facebook isn't this the type of thing that should happen behind closed doors or walls or whatever. People moan about others being in their business yet they publicly display it.

And the VANITY! People post albums upon albums of themselves posing in front of their camera. Why is that necessary to show everyone? Especially when half the people on your friends list you don’t know!?

Facebook is the feeding ground for paedophiles and perverts. FACT

I think people should stop pretending over Facebook and get back to the real way of communication, don’t just display yourself through the statuses and groups you join.

Find your real friends. And keep out of business that isn't your business to mind.

Life is not a show!! SO GET REAL!

P.S. one in five U.S divorces Involve FACEBOOK!
